130/180
Series Medium Pressure Hose
Introduction
Titeflex,
with more than 45 years of experience in the design,
development, and manufacture of PTFE hose
assemblies, is the industry leader in the development
of stainless steel braided PTFE hose. Titeflex introduced
the electrostatic dissipation capability within the
inner portion of the innerliner to control Electrostatic
buildup
due to high fluid flow. This design provides a relatively
low resistance path to the end fittings while maintaining
the required external insulation to eliminate arcing
to the outer metallic braid structure.
Product Characteristics
Titeflex medium pressure “130” products,
introduced in 1957, utilize a PTFE/innerliner which is
fabricated from the best high performance PTFE copolymer
material available. Design and process enhancements are
being developed and added through the “180” Series
hose products, which are being included within the medium
pressure scope. The innerliner is manufactured by a reliable
proven extrusion and sintering process which incorporates
the latest technology in equipment and SPC process control
to assure consistency in fabrication and achieve quality,
resiliency, toughness, minimum effusion, and minimum
crystallinity. These rigid controls ensure we meet the
requirements of today’s high performance Aerospace
and Missile applications.
Applications
Titeflex Medium Pressure hose assemblies are designed
for use on aircraft engine, airframe, and missile system
applications where temperature, system fluid, and environmental
conditions dictate the use of a PTFE hose. PTFE is unaffected
by all hydraulic fluids, fuels, oils,
coolants, solvents, and missile propellants utilized in aircraft and space systems.
Typical Applications:
Engine Fuel Feed; Case Drain; Pneumatic Systems; Scavenge Lines; Hydraulic Return;
Lubrication; Oxygen Systems; Electronic Coolant |
